Catholic Knights to raise 500Mfor humanitarian works

Catholic Knights of St. Mulumba said over N500 million would be used to widen humanitarian services and mission works nationwide. Some of its leaders said this on Tuesday, in separate interviews at the sideline of its ongoing 70th Anniversary celebration in Lagos. Church, Covenant varsity community donate vehicles to Navy, Police

The Living Faith Church and Covenant University (CU) Community Development Impact Initiative Committee (CDIIC) have donated two operational vehicles to the Nigerian Navy and Nigeria Police in Ota, Ogun State. Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Abiodun Adebayo, while presenting the vehicles yesterday, said the donation was part of the university’s community service mandate and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). He stressed that Nigeria was recently ranked low in the global peace index, hence the need to constantly empower security agencies with modern communication equipment and mobility.    He also urged individuals and corporate organisations to support security agencies in fighting crime in society.
